On the 12th we arrived in San Jose, the capital of Costa Rica.  Yesterday we went on an excursion through the city. After waking up and getting ready, the first stop was McDonald’s for breakfast. Normally we don’t go there. I ordered a cheesy egg sandwich with hash browns and apple juice.  The sandwich tasted weird at first, but after two bites it was delicious. Some other people were a little annoyed with their orders. For example, Lucas ordered pancakes, but didn’t specify the fine print and didn’t get his sausage has shown in the picture. When breakfast was done we continued walking. I was not expecting to see the South Korea, Hungary and Uruguay embassies. Soon we reached the hospital where my dad was getting a blood test. Me, Mom and Lucas kept on walking until we reached the mall. This mall is the biggest in Costa Rica. Once there, we bought Lucas some new sandles, since he lost his in the ocean, and a pair of runners, his old pair was too small and smelly. We also bought some batteries. Then Dad joined us at the mall as we bought some DQ. I had a Chips Ahoy blizzard.  Then we went to a bookstore. I looked at the spanish books, but couldn’t find anything good. It was too difficult, hard cover (which Dad didn’t want to buy), a book I wouldn’t like, too easy or I was committing to a series. Finished in the bookstore we went to RadioShack because Lucas wanted a new Gorilla Pod. After shopping we had lunch at Pizza Hut. I shared a pineapple, mushroom and onion crown pizza with Mom and Dad.  It was delicious and I loved the cheese pockets that made up the crust. After lunch we walked to a grocery store. At the store I waited outside, which was good because I was exhausted from the walk.  With the groceries in tow, we headed back to the apartment. I spent the rest of the day watching TV or Netflix.
